Access Issue: Technical Rock Climbing is not allowed in Gateway Mesa Open Space.
Details
However, bouldering should be ok, as it is not considered technical climbing. Try to respect trails and the open space in order to prevent access issues.
Description
Gateway Mesa consists of sandstone and conglomerate. It climbs similar to Castlewood Canyon. Though the climbing at Gateway is not as extensive, advantages include free access and potential for new first ascents. The rocks are covered in moss, and holds tend to break. Be prepared to brush and clean routes.
