Description
The canyon wall with Thor's Wall and Comic Cliff bends southward towards the lake in a broken series of shorter cliffs. One, the Livin' Large area, faces the canyon just around the corner form the Comic Cliff, and the narrow canyon behind it is the 3rd Degree Wall. Livin' Large is made obvious by a large north facing roof 6 or so feet off the ground. The 3rd Degree Wall is a long north facing, vertical to overhanging wall of face problems. There's some good edge problems and a long traverse of the wall. A word of caution: Cracks around the Livin' Large roof make it's attachment to the main cliff suspect. I'm not sure I'd go pulling on it too hard, and I certainly would not sit under it if someone was climbing it!
Getting There
Approach from the north boat ramp north on the Northshore Trail to the Comic Cliff & Thor's Wall areas and work your way over. If you know where to turn, you can head west up slabs before reaching the usual turn for Comic Cliff & Thor's Wall and head directly into the 3rd Degree canyon.
