Description
This forest has a small area of large boulders located in the northernmost corner of the forest. There is a 10-12 foot primary face featuring several boulder problems as well as a few surrounding boulders with potential problems ranging from beginner to advanced.
This area is best climbed late fall to early spring as poison ivy is abundant during the warmer months.
This 444-acre forest is a mixture of pine and old growth hardwood stands in Prince William County, adjacent to Manassas National Battlefield and Route 29.
In addition to serving as a wildlife and wildflower sanctuary, the forest is used for environmental education, hiking, mountain biking, preservation of historic sites, watershed protection and timber production.
There is no access fee. Open daily from 7am to 7pm.
Review the official website for all regulations and announcements: http://www.dof.virginia.gov/stateforest/list/conway-robinson.htm
