Description Suggest change

Bird Woman Falls is a 492 ft. tall waterfall in Glacier Park. This waterfall is easily seen from the Going-to-the-Sun Road during the summer months. However, during the winter it is rather hard to get to. If you are motivated enough to get there, it provides some stellar ice climbing in a beautiful setting.

Getting There Suggest change

During winter, park your car at the Lake McDonald Lodge parking lot. Then ski or hike the 10 miles up the Going-to-the-Sun Road until you cross Logan Creek, you will then hike another 1.5 miles up to the base of the falls. Keep in mind that this is a very long approach and will likely involve multiple days to get to the falls and then back to your car. If you are planning on camping, make sure to get a permit from the park service.
