PUBLIC ACCESS:
You can publicly access The Buckskin Crag’s Sweet Spot by starting out on the Made in the Shade trail (parking off of CR3A), traveling on One Track Mind, and finding your way to the Sweet Spot area (about 2.5 miles each way).
Description
The Buddha Wall hosts 26 south-facing climbs, perfect for fall through spring and the early or late hours in the summer. Routes range from 5.6 to 5.12 and are mainly sport routes, with 3 mixed climbs and 1 trad. The north-face of the Buddha Wall has a Via Ferrata on it. The Buddha Wall also has 4 highlines attached to it - 3 run south, and 1 runs northwest.
Getting There
Royal Gorge Ranch & Resort access (private):
Access from within the Royal Gorge Ranch and Resort will be exclusive to residents and events.
*Public Access*
To access the Buddha Wall area, you can save time by taking the Royal Gorge Ranch and Resort trail split from Made in the Shade trail, to the road within the resort. From here, head northwest on the road to a trail at the bottom of the hill. Take this trail until it splits right over a large hill. Stay on this trail to the Buddha Wall (roughly 2 miles each way).
