Description Suggest change

PernStar Beach currently only has one route with a few variations to the top of the northwest formation.  The area seems to have a lot of potential and it's hard to beat the beach party after a day of climbing.

Descent - There are rap anchors located on the south facing wall tucked away on a small ledge. Rap down to the lower section of ledges and the second anchor is made of tricams to the east. two 60 meter double raps will get you back to the start.

Getting There Suggest change

PernStar Beach is located between Dewey Bridge and Hiddle Bottom across the river. Put-in at Dewey and float about 1 mile until you see the canyon open on the right with a "chicken head/road-runner" tower above a white sandy beach. Fight through trees/bushes on the left side of the beach to access the "trail." Follow the wash up and stay left with the vegetation until you reach the base of the climb. Approach takes about 25 minutes once on the beach.
