Nestled between Glacier and Yoho National Parks, the town of Golden BC is surrounded by mountains on all sides, sporting some fantastic ice routes in the nearby Kicking Horse Canyon and surrounding areas. Easy access, relatively minimal avalanche hazard, and cheap accommodations with great resort skiing nearby make this a great destination for a winter weekend.

Getting There Suggest change

Drive the Trans Canada #1 East from Revelstoke or West from Banff and you will drive right through the town. You can also access the town from the south by driving up Hwy 95 from Radium.
