Description
The lower peninsula lacks any natural rock-climbing areas with the exception of Oak Park in Grand Ledge, Michigan. There is a nice fountain park that freezes in the winter making an ideal practice ground and also a single boulder in Lake Huron with a couple lines. The remainder of non-quarry climbs are all found in Oak Park. The area was first climbed in the late 1940s and continues to be popular among locals today.
