Description Suggest change

Secluded crag with a days worth of climbing available. Decent rock with a mixture of old and new routes.

Getting There Suggest change

Park at the information board pullout about a half mile from the East entrance near 29 Palms. Head south on the trail for a short distance and then veer south west towards Elf's Hat. You can't see Futthead from the road so you have to keep your eye on Elf's Hat as you hike in. Once you get close to Elf's Hat stay on higher ground to the left and avoid the sandy wash that takes you directly to Elf's Hat. Remain on the hillside for another miles following cairns and the path of least resistance until it opens up and you can see Futthead Rock to the right. This will be level with some old mine scratchings under Iguana Tower. The climbs are on the north and east face so you won't see the routes till you head straight to the rock, duck under a boulder to get to the north side, and then look up.
