Description Suggest change

Also called the "Green Heart of Austria," Styria lies in the south region of Austria along the Slovenian border. Landscapes are characterized by green hills and water cut limestone rocks. There are over 700 2000 meter summits and many of them can be accessed via multipitch sport routes and via ferratas.

Styrians also enjoy spending Sunday afternoons at a Buschenschank with a glass of Styrian wine and local food specialities.

Getting There Suggest change

You can fly into Graz (regional airport, normally pretty expensive). It is better to fly into one of the bigger airports around (Vienna, Munich or Zagreb) and rent a car. Most areas are close to highway A9 or A2.
