Description Suggest change

This area is actually across the road from Murrin Park but the topo in the quickdraw publications website lists this as being in Murrin Park, so here it is. It's a shaded area that gets some afternoon sun at the top. It can feel very crowded because even though there are 36 routes on it so far, 3 or 4 routes often share the same start and branch out from there. Routes are fairly steep.

Route developer: Chris Small, area announced 2019. 60m rope is sufficient for most of the routes, but some do require a 70m rope or lowering/rappelling to intermediate stations to get down.

Getting There Suggest change

Park at Murrin Park, and carefully run across the road and then walk north for a few minutes until you get to the trailhead, marked by a small wooden sign next to the black/white road sign that says there will be 2 lanes for the next 23 km. Hike up the Petgill Lake trail about 30 minutes (if you're a slow hiker), otherwise the directions say 20 minutes. The trail has a few steep bits in the beginning that could be slippery during wet weather.
