Description
The Perch is located just down canyon facing the road from Benson Creek which has since become popular for canyoneering and ice climbing in the winter. The routes are all trad routes and protected by cams and nuts.
These routes are located at the approximate coordinates 37°46'21"N 112°49'58"W
According to “Metal In Your Head” an old guidebook for the area:
“Keep an eye out for the rap anchors. These routes were first ascended in 1997 by Sockmonkey, Slow Kid, Dirk Diggler, Thomas Schlong, and Mr. Car Hood. They beat another climber to these cracks, days before he was going to bolt them. Thanks Dudes! “

Getting There
About 4.5 miles up from Parowan City Park. About 6 miles down canyon from the stop sign at Cedar Breaks Lodge. Pullout on river side of road.
Approach: Follow trail leading from pullout until you pass the weeping wall and see a large dead tree fell across the river (as of 1997). From here, climb the talus up to your left. Stay low and left of the rock ridge on the high left side of the talus. Walk along the face of these rocks and across one more talus field to the base of the routes below a big pine tree.
Note: the climbs can be seen from the meadow with the campsite in it.
37°46'21"N 112°49'58"W is the estimated location based on google earth and 20 year old memories and current
