Access Issue: Climbing Regulations/Seasonal Raptor Closures Details

The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

Description

Mojave Desert Land Trust preservation area. Some mounds of rock with opportunity for ropes, boulder and scrambling.

Getting There

Drive south on Sunset road until pavement ends at Highlands. Follow the dirt road (Skyline) west for 100yds to the labeled parking lot. Park and walk through Nancy Karl Trail.
