Description Suggest change

A pleasant granite crag in Mammoth’s backyard. Sport, mixed, and trad routes, 12-25m, East facing, 9700ft.

*I created this page to complement Marty Lewis’s Mammoth Area Rock Climbs book. I will not be adding the routes already included in the book. Others are welcome to add those routes.

Getting There Suggest change

  • From the Lake George parking area hike the Crystal Lake Trail towards Crystal Lake. After a mile you reach a trail junction, stay left. A short distance after the junction, the trail reaches its high point and starts descending down to the lake. Just after this high point leave the trail on the right (west) and follow faint use trails contouring around towards the far end of the lake. Stay well above the lake level. Continue a short distance (~200m) beyond the southern end of the lake to the wall. 40-50 minutes.
