Back Breaker Boulder
Nevada
> Western Nevada
> Lake Tahoe Area
> Trippy Rock
Description
A shady 18 foot boulder found off the path to the main wall of trippy rock. It has some good solid climbing on it, but as the original founder said in their photo, it has terrible protection for landing on the far left side of the boulder.
Getting There
When hiking up the trail to the main wall, veer to the trail leading way further right. It will make you pass through a tree, and then the path will open up. Look for the shady boulder that has a small cave, and a terrible landing along a chalky path.
[Hide Photo] not my photo, it's Ben May's, founder of this boulder as well as many others here.
[Hide Photo] the most chalked up route on this boulder goes over a back breaking chunk of rock. So bring extra pads for the crux of the problem.
