Warning Access Issue: DO NOT CLIMB HERE! It is located on the US AFA DetailsDrop down

Description Suggest change

These 2 chossy towers are hidden just north of Deadman’s Lake. The approach is a 1/2 mile if that. These towers are home to the worst rock I have ever experienced. One can drill in a bolt, and then 30 seconds later you can pull it out with your fingers.

The summit and the view are worth it.

DO NOT CLIMB HERE!

Per Finn W: this area is located directly behind the USAFA Firing Range, and access is prohibited at all times. Climbing in this area is extremely dangerous.

Getting There Suggest change

Park at the entrance to Deadman’s Lake, then follow the trail to the north end of the lake, hop the fence, and continue north uphill for 5 minutes. When you reach the top of this hill, El Diablo and The Magic Man (aka Cathedral Rock) are easily visible.
