The Francis E Walter Dam has excellent rock climbing but the bouldering is what draws climbers to this area. Conglomerate similar to the Gunk’s is scattered all around this mountain reservoir. Climbers can get sun or shade while bouldering here. If you boulder in any of the several wooded areas you can crank in cool shade and enjoy quality overhanging terrain that willany grade climber. If you want sunny bouldering all year long the Sunnyside/Atlantis bouldering area lies right on the shore of the FE Walter Dams reservoir.

Getting There Suggest change

2 parking spot one on each side of the dam for the two different boulder area, park then follow the dam side trail and you will find the boulder shortly
