Description
A perfect shaded well maintained crag with about 75 routes. The 30 minutes uphill approach will thin the crowds but the limestone is worth it especially if you climb in the 5.11a to 5.13b range. A 70 meter rope and 15+ draws will be useful here. Many of the routes have quick-clips at the top. The season is between May and November but it can be hot in the summer. The tufas can be wet in the winter and the stream can flood. The cliff gets sun from morning until 2pm and again after 5pm. Most routes have the name written on the rock making identifying them easy.
Getting There
Drive to the small town of Pyli and continue west to Pertrouli-Arta. The parking is about 2km from Pyli right after you cross the river on the bridge (and a bit past the scenic Porta Bridge which supposedly has a crag near it as well). The parking is on the left hand side of the road at 39.456682, 21.595146. After parking cross the road start up a dirt road for about 300 feet. When it ends you will find a marked path that goes both ways. Head left on the trail (this might also seem like it is forward) and continue up the trail along the right hand side of the stream bed. It will eventually cross over to the left hand side and follows a black water-pipe. You should be walking up a shady gully the whole time. You will find the area on the right hand side of the stream after about 30 minutes of walking.
