Description
Pleasent, quite bouldering with minimal traffic. Nice granite blocks in a meadow style setting, gets a decent amount of sun depending on the boulder you go to. Good for a quick stop on your way through Meyers, CA.
Getting There
Approach is approximately 5-10 minutes on a nice flat trail, depending on how fast you walk and the difficulty finding the faint trail to start. From South Lake Tahoe, take Highway 50 East (away from Lake Tahoe) towards Highway 89, turn Left on 89 South and take the road about 2.5 miles and turn right onto Portal Dr. Turn Left onto S Upper Truckee Rd and drive until it turns into a one lane road and continue until you it widens out to a parking lot, parking on both sides of road and wooden information board, and park there. On the left (North-East) side of the lot find a small faint trail, may be hard to find depending on what time of the season you go. once you find the trail however it is pretty easy to follow. cross a couple off seasonal creeks and it will take you directly to the Angry Beavers boulder.
