Description Suggest change

A remote peak situated above Fish Creek. Although it is seen frequently from travelers of the JMT and PCT, it is very rarely climbed. The North Face is stunning from a distance, and up close it has featured rock and plenty of room for new routes.

Getting There Suggest change

Two logical approaches exist.
McGee Pass may be the most direct and about 14 miles to the base of the peak.
When I hiked out there we started at the Duck Lake Pass Trailhead and met up with the JMT southbound. After hiking through the stunning Virginia Lake area, the north face of Piscator Peak becomes visible. Descend to Fish Creek and leave the trail at the point where the JMT and McGee Pass trails intersect. Hike cross-country to Hortense lake, where incredible camping can be found. This approach is about 13 miles and remains somewhat flat and travels through a great section of the JMT.
