Description Suggest change

This is the lone, camel shaped tower you will see to your right as you drive south of Rock Springs on HWY 430. Like many of the local towers, this one is made of sandstone of varying quality from decent rock to absolute kitty litter.
Camel rock has two separate summits: the head and the hump.
There are several route to each summit and a few potential routes that probably have not been done.

One of many towers in the Green River/Rock Springs area.  A must do if you want to climb them all!

Getting There Suggest change

Take HWY 430 south out of Rock Springs for 24 miles until you see Camel Rock on your right. Bail off the highway on a two track through a barb-wire fence gate (be sure to put it back up). Follow this two track a short ways to the edge of the wash. There isn't really a trail to follow, just find the path of least resistance through the brush. 10 minute walk from truck to tower.
