Description
The Hobbit boulder is the highest boulder in the Wiener Lake bouldering area. It offers three routes, with the best line being Gollum (V8). The landing to Gollum has been excavated to remove a few large blocks that made the start awkward and pad placement less than ideal. Gollum is now ready for laps and better for spotting and pad placement.
Getting There
From the 2nd or 3rd pull-off, follow the main climbers trail past The Egg and Springfield and make your way through the talus. 15 meters from the termination point of the trail, where the Wookie Wall cliff line lies, is The Hobbit boulder, on the right side of the trail. The approach is 10 minutes from the car.
