Description Suggest change

Singing Beach is a popular summer spot in Manchester-by-the-sea. There is a small crag with two good sized boulders and a small jagged cliff to the north of the sand in a nice alcove. It is a really nice spot on a hot summer day. There is also a few problems on the way to the alcove. Getting down to where the Palm Tree is and Low Tide boulder requires 5.3 climbing if the tide is high. Property along the shore that is above the tide zone is private, so keep this in mind if you want to visit the boulders.

Getting There Suggest change

Parking is tricky. You can pay for parking if you are going to the beach all day, or you can work out a spot near downtown and walk. Another option is to wait until after beach hours when the lot is empty.

When you arrive at the beach, take a left, and walk to the end of the sand. 4th Class yourself over the rocks down into a pebbled beach with a large slab for the ground. It is best to make this approach during a falling tide. It is possible to get trapped at the crag during a high tide.
