The NW face and West face routes remain open.
See Closure section below for more details.
Description
The West Side, Sunset Wall, is accessed by a short trail that cuts off (to the right) from the main Beacon Rock hikers summit trail. Look for a faint path to the right about 30 feet after the "Weed Seed" foot brush station and the first set of railing and bridge. If you hike up the rock, you've gone too far. As you hike down to the base of the west side; there is some poison oak near the trail so keep an eye out and enjoy the sunset!
Getting There
Follow the trail from the parking lot towards the main hiker’s trail. The climber’s trail cuts off to the right just before the switchbacks to the green gate. An upper and lower climber trail cuts directly to the base of routes where crude belay platforms have been constructed.
Labyrinth (5.8), can be climbed to access the "Upper West Side" climbs.
