Description

mihiwaka is a small crag overlooking Carey's Bay on the way to Long Beach. No bolts. Hexes work great for the wide cracks, but this crag also takes wires and cams nicely. About 20 routes, but millions of variations. Some crack systems are easily protected and others not so much.

Getting There

From Dunedin heading toward Long Beach: 200m before the turn off to Waitati, pull into a carpark on the coastal side of the road. The track is across the road and starts at the #25 orange marker.

Follow the track through the bush for 15 mins. You will emerge beneath the route Deep, Wide and Frequent.
