Description Suggest change

There is a large rock outcropping on the lower Southern ridge of Mount Bross. Weather is alpine conditions, so know and act safely to all elements. The approach starts just past the nice log cabin home on the right side of the road below the rock outcropping. Park off the road, hike up through the trees, and arrive at timberline. Scramble up the Class 4 cliffs to the base of Sidewinder.

Getting There Suggest change

From Colorado Springs, take US Hwy. 24 all the way to Hartsel, and take a right out of town onto CO Hwy 9 towards Breckinridge. Pass through Fairplay, and head towards Alma (the same as to Breckinridge). When in Alma. take the dirt road just after Al-Mart (there is a sign on the left side of the road that says Buckskin Road). Follow this for 5 miles to the log cabin until you see Sidewinder.
