Description

The Green Matter boulder is in an area by itself, but it hosts some great problems, including one of Durango's best.

Getting There

There are many ways to find this boulder. Here are the two most straightforward:

From the Upper Trail: continue past the spur to Sunday Stroll until you reach a small clearing with a trail sign. Hang a left downhill until you see a pebbled boulder through some junipers to the left. Either bust left through the trees or circle around until the face of Green Matter is to your left.

From the Lower Trail: continue past the Keystone Cave Boulder until you see a spur trail to the right with large dead stump some twenty feet from the Lower Trail. This trail leads directly to Green Matter.
