Driving through the construction zone to access this area MAY BE ILLEGAL. Driving through any of the mines to access this area is certainly illegal. Also, there are anecdotal stories of climbers being fined by BLM rangers for driving the roads beyond the construction zone. Proceed at your own risk.
Description
Home to nearly 100 sport routes up to 5.11, Trench Town is a great place to spend a day. Routes litter the canyon throughout both sides.
Getting There
Once at the parking area and trailhead inside Box Canyon, hike south and west, following the wash as it begins to slot up. After about 3/8 of a mile of hiking, in a narrow slot of limestone walls, you come to the main junction. A wire-rope ladder is in view to the south.
Climb this ladder and up a second ladder, and hike about 700 feet south of the junction where you will find Trench Town.
