Privately owned quarry. Climb at your own risk. The quarry is obviously frequented by hikers, bikers, hunters, and party goers. Be aware that you could be asked to leave but I do not foresee there being issues if the property is respected.
Description
This is a pretty cool little area with a handful of routes. It's nothing too expansive but worth a look if you're local. There is a main wall that has most of the routes, the main quarry which only has a couple of routes and some scattered boulders. The boulders aren't great. Most are too small to mess with, but there's a few that are okay. The rock is sharp and gritty granite. I wouldn't call the rock quality top notch, but it's not complete crap. Beware of broken glass.
Getting There
Park on the fire road off of Old Turnpike Rd. in West Townsend. The gate is locked. You will have to hike in from there. Follow the trail along the train tracks. Go right at the second fork, and the main wall is on your right past some large piles of granite chunks. Go left at the fork, and you'll hit the main quarry pit.
