Description
This area contains boulders, face and crack climbs with one horizontal roof. Things are a little dirty as the cliffs don't see that much climbing action. There is room for development of new routes and boulder problems here.
Herb Lake Landing is a pretty cool place, but unless you're up there anyway, its probably not worth the drive from Winnipeg.

Getting There
Stay right when you get to a fork in the road and park at the Gathering Place picnic area.
To get to the top rope bolts hike up the Ted Taylor and Snowball trail to the lake overlook.
To get to the boulders, walk along the road to the first property on the right (abandoned looking). Skirt the edge of this property and head uphill behind the abandoned sheds.
WEKUSKO SOUTH bouldering is not accessed from the same parking area.
Visitor Impact
The stark geologic features found at Herb Lake Landing are Provincially unique and harbour an isolated community of imperiled (S2) species. Please use and clean off existing routes with bolted anchors before creating new routes, and please avoid removing vegetation (most routes barely see any use!). Please stick closely to a single path or an existing trail when visiting. These practices help Herb Lake Landing maintain its unique characteristics and remain an astonishing area for everyone to enjoy responsibly.
