Description

This is the north face of Skyline Buttress.

Home to Gallatin Canyon Gneiss classics like Skyline Arete (5.6), Ithaca Connection (5.9), and Stigmata (5.11c/d). Cooler summer temps due to the north facing aspect, as well as it's elevation high above the canyon floor. "Northern Exposure" area is on the far lookers left/uphill side of Skyline North face.

Getting There

Taking the skyline approach, hike up past the lookers left of Ashes of Stone, switching back right towards the buttress. First route encountered will be the route Stigmata with the deep red streaks running down the face.
