Description
These popular walls lie off of Wolf Creek, a tributary to Little River, and do not face the main canyon.
Though these two walls abut each other, they are very different in character. Jungle Gym is made up of textbook steep Little River climbing, where sequenced crimping between large flat edges is common. By contrast, the Grey Wall is tall, slightly overhung, and values technique over raw power.
Getting There
From the canyon entrance at AL-35, drive 4.7. Near Mile Marker 21 you'll see a small, gravel parking area on the left side of the road.
PLEASE NOTE: The Jungle Gym/Grey Wall parking area is meant to accommodate four cars. If this lot is full, please drive to the Canyon View Lookout parking area, which is only 200 feet away, instead of parking on the grass.
From the parking area, walk away from the overlook until you see a chevron (curve ahead) road sign and follow the obvious trail to the left. Follow this well-marked trail to a steep downclimb with fixed ropes and walk left along the cliff line for a few hundred feet. After a seasonal waterfall, you'll arrive at the first Jungle Gym routes.
