Description
The most popular mountain to climb in Picos de Europa and one of the most popular alpine climbs in the country. It boasts many routes from 4 pitches of 5.6 on the south face to longer routes on the west face up to 1800 feet long and grades up to 5.14. The most popular routes can be crowded in the summer. It has some of the best limestone rock in the country (or even the world!)
There is not a scrambling route to climb this peak, the way down is rapelling the martinez directa route in the south face (all pitches with bolt and chains)

Getting There
From the town of "Sotres" (where you left the car) to "la collada pandebano" and then to the "Urriellu" hut (3 hours and a half walk), from the hut you can reach easily the west face for the other faces you need to walk more (around 1 and a half hour to the south face), in all of them are lot of climbing routes
