Description Suggest change

A nice climbing area that features several top rope climbs as well as a few leads. It is also fairly tall for Coopers Rock averaging around 40-50 feet tall. Unlike most of the other climbing in the forest, Roof Rocks is located near the Henry Clay Furnace. This area is often guided and used by the ROTC for training. If there are already vans or more than a few cars in the pull-off, it is best to go somewhere else.

Getting There Suggest change

Soon after entering the first gate past the day use parking lot, there is a road leading to the right towards the Henry Clay Furnace. Follow that road for around 2 miles and you'll see pull-offs on both sides of the road with a picnic table on the right side  before you get to the parking lot for the furnace. Park at these pull-offs.  The obvious trail puts you on top of the cliff, you can set up your top rope from trees here. From this point you can either rappel in or go back to the road and walk down the road (back towards the park entrance) about 100 yards and find the access trail which goes to an easy hike down and around to the cliff face!
