Description
One of the larger areas in Bergisches Land, this quarry offers climbing on crumbly limestone (?). Please add more.

Getting There
Via public transport:
From Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof take S28 in direction Mettmann Stadtwald.
From Mettmann Stadtwald take Bus 69, 746, or 601 in direction Wuppertal Hauptbahnhof
From Wuppertal Hauptbahnhof take Bus 69 or 601 in direction Wülfrath Rathaus.
From Velbert take Bus 746 in direction Mettmann Stadtwald.
All buses stop at "Rathaus," get off the bus there and follow Wilhelmstraße to the East (toward the Aral gas station). After 250 meters turn left into Tönisheider Straße and take a right at the next intersection onto Kruppstraße. From there continue straight approximately 500 meters to the main entrance at the northwest corner of the quarry.
Via car:
1) From A3 exit Mettmann follow the B7 in direction Mettmann (4 km). In Mettmann follow signs for Wülfrath: left onto Breite Straße, follow the street right and continuing over Johannes-Flintrop-Straße toward Wülfrath (approx. 5 km). In Wülfrath continue straight to Wilhelmstraße.
About 100 m before the Aral gas station take a left onto Tonisheider Straße. At the end of the street take a right onto Kruppstraße.
2) From Autobahn junction Ratingen Ost (A3/A44) take the L422 (Brachter Straße) in direction Wülfrath (10 km). Upon entering Wülfrath turn left, then continue straight to Wilhelmstraße. From here continue as in case (1).
3) From Autobahn junction Velbert Nord (A44/B224) follow the B224 south toward Wuppertal. Take the Wülfrath exit and take a right toward Wülfrath. After about 100 m turn take the second exit through the traffic circle onto Nevigeser Straße. Continue on Nevigeser Straße until it comes to a T with Wilhelmstraße (approx 1.5 km), take a right onto Wilhelmstraße. Take another right onto Tönisheider Straße after the Aral gas station, then a right onto Kruppstraße.
4) From Autobahn junction Sonnborn (A46/B224) follow the B224 north toward Velbert. Take the Wülfrath exit. Take a left toward Wülfrath. Continue as in case (3).
Parking:
In order to not cause issues with the neighbors please obey all signs regarding parking and stopping in the area near the entrance. Do not block driveways or entrances!
Parking is plentiful along Kruppstraße and Robert-Bosch-Straße, but is limited to the industrial area. Parking to the east of the quarry (after the beginning of the chain fencing) is absolutely forbidden. The parking lot near the riding stalls is private property and is open only to visitors of the riding area.
