Description

Between Nursery and Vine Wall is a tall striking orange headwall that hosts the main Sanitarium routes. A large variety of grades and proximity to the Nursery makes this wall a good choice for groups seeking to appease climbers of differing abilities. Morning sun.

Getting There

From the main parking lot cross the creek and follow the road past two turnoffs on the left. A road on the right appears which leads to Highlands. Continue on the main road, staying right at the fork, until another creek crossing is found. Cross the creek and walk along the road passing Fruit Wall, Portl, and Vine Wall on your left. Take the trail on your left as the road seems to peter out. At the top of the hill go right for the Nursery or Left for the Sanitarium (~30 minutes from the main parking lot.)

[Hide Comment] As one route name implies, theres's a decent amount of poison ivy around this wall. Specifically, the routes to the left side. Lowering off Bailey will also drop you on the trail with a good amount of the stuff between you and the wall. Sep 16, 2023
