Description Suggest change

Senapathy Betta is a fun single pitch crag with over a dozen routes, most bolted, on a slabby granite hillside. The grades go from 5.6 to 5.10 and most lines require at least a 60 m rope to lower back to the base (one route requires a 70). Also, the first bolts on most of the lines tend to be about 30 ft up a low-5th class slabby start. All the bolted routes have anchors with rap rings, chains or quick-links. The right side of the hillock has a small number of "trad" lines that take you to the top (assume a PG protection rating on these). The crag goes in the shade by mid-afternoon.

Getting There Suggest change

See map location. On the Ramanagara-Kanakapura Rd, park near the gate for Senapathy Whiteley, cross the road, pass the houses by the roadside, and continue through the fields to the obvious slabby face ahead. It's a 5-10 minute approach from the road.
