Description
This stunning valley is one of the three valleys in the Siguniangshan National Park. Located in a remote, mountainous part of Sichuan Province, Shuangqiao Gou takes 5-6 hours to reach by 4X4 vehicle, over freeway, highway, a destroyed road, a 4500m mountain pass, and many, many switchbacks. Once there, visitors can enjoy fantastic ice and alpine climbing. The ice season is generally from mid-December through the end of February. With many long routes, there is plenty to explore. About 50 ice routes have been documented thus far, with many more to be explored. Several peaks in the area remain unclimbed.
