Description Suggest change

This is another collapsed portion of the lava tube that also houses The "Little" Cave, however, this cave is deeper and has longer more power endurance based routes on steeper (mostly horizontal) rock. The entrance to the cave faces south making it quite sunny, so it can get quite hot in the summer.  Luckily, shade can be found on the sides of the cave if this is your only option for some summer climbing (not sure why that would be).

The climbs that I know of here are in the 11a-12c range, and they are between 30-70 feet tall. Most if not all of them are perma-drawed.

Getting There Suggest change

From the town of Shoshone, drive north on Idaho highway 76 for about 15 miles until you reach Burmah Road/Cottonwoods Road (The road sign says Burman Road, Google Maps shows both Burmah and Cottonwood as the names). Turn right onto this road and head east for about a mile until you reach the first intersection you will come to which is an unnamed north/south dirt road (Google Maps calls this Burmah Road). Turn left and drive north on this road for about .2 miles and park there. From this point look for the trail on the left side of the road and follow it west for about a quarter of a mile to reach the cave.
