Description Suggest change

Needle Rock is a prominent volcanic plug which rises close to a 1,000 feet from the valley floor. Dominating the skyline, this interesting rock feature is located just outside Crawford Colorado (north of the Black Canyon).

Due to the nature of the rock, expect loose, chossy adventure climbing that is poorly protected. There are at least 3 established routes on the formation with the North Face being the most popular.

Getting There Suggest change

From the town of Crawford (CO Hwy 92), drive ~4.5 miles east on Needle Rock Road to a recreational parking area located on the left. The parking area is on the southwest side of the tower.
