Description Suggest change

Bear Creek is one of Telluride’s most popular hiking/walking trails and home to some of Telluride's best rock climbs. The cliffs are in an idyllic alpine setting on either side of the canyon surrounding Bear Creek Trail. There is massive potential for new routes, and many of the walls remain undeveloped. There is easily a lifetime's worth of rock...and then some. It is one of the prettiest places you'll ever climb.

Access the trail from the end of South Pine Street in Telluride or from the Town Park. Hike or bike the dirt road with a steady 2.5-mile climb that leads to upper Bear Creek Falls and connects to the Wasatch Trail (used for Sesame Street) and Bridal Veil Basin.

Getting There Suggest change

This is on the South side of town. You can access Bear Creek Trail from the town park or from South Pine Street. Parking is metered in town during the day (except on Sundays), so parking in the public lots in the town park or car-henge (lift 7) is advised. Then walk to the trailhead.
