Fireman's Park Bouldering Area

In Progress
Warning Access Issue: Public City Park DetailsDrop down

Description

The boulders are located on a hillside surrounded by oak and mesquite trees. Cactus is abundant throughout the climbing area so be careful (and bring a hoe). Some rock is solid while other rock is crumbly- handholds will break occasionally as routes are established so use your spotters!

Getting There

From Hwy 380 in Graham, TX, turn north into Fireman's Park. Follow the entrance road around until you pass a playground on the right. Park near the swinging bridge that crosses Salt Creek, and cross the bridge into the disc golf course. The boulders are located along the hillside opposite the creek. Until trails are cleaned up, some bushwhacking is required to access most of the boulders.

[Hide Comment] There are many boulders scattered across the hillside above the park. A residential area sits atop the hill be careful to stay out of back yards. There are still problems to be established as some possible routes are outside my climbing ability. I can't yet call this an area to go out of your way to climb, but if you like establishing new routes and happen to be passing through the area, there is some decent bouldering to be had.
