The Wave Twister

Colorado > Lyons > St Vrain Canyons > S Fork of St Vrain Ca…
Warning Access Issue: MM 23-29.5 - now ended daily CO 7 highway closure/delays DetailsDrop down

Description

About 4.1 miles up the canyon, this scruffy cliff rises out of the creek, opposite the highway. It is published on p. 71 of Gillett's 2009 guidebook. Unless its level is low, the creek would be dangerous to cross, and the ledges at the base would be underwater. While driving by a few years ago, I noticed two bolted routes on this cliff. On August 4, I suggested it to Mike Endicott as a way to escape the hot sun. It faces NW and has morning shade.
