Description
Mt. Pacifico is one of a handful of popular climbing areas within the Angeles National Forest and the San Gabriel Mountains. Pacifico offers climbs suitable for leading, top-roping, and bouldering for climbers of all levels of experience. Mt. Pacifico was discovered and utilized for training by members of the Sierra Club Rockclimbing Section (RCS) in 1940.
Getting There
From the intersection of I-210 and Angeles Crest Highway in La Canada, drive north for twenty-five miles, past Newcomb's Ranch, to a left turn onto Santa Clara Divide Road (as for Horse Flats). Continue for 4.2 miles to a locked gate. Hike or bicycle the dirt road to the Pacifico Campground.
