Description
Rocky Woods has a few solid boulder problems ranging from V0-V8 located on the Rocky Woods and Fork Factory Brook properties in Medfield, owned by the Trustees of Reservations. There is nothing exceptional here, but it is worth checking out if you are hiking or biking on the reservations. Hemlock Knoll offers the highest concentration of hard boulder problems, some of which are quality. There is a possibility of more boulders/top-roping in the area.
Getting There
The parking lot is located on Hartford Street in Medield, MA. Cross the road to enter the Fork Factory Brook property. The approach isn't bad, it is on well-maintained trails.
From the parking lot, cross the street, and follow the orange (dot) trail for about 10 minutes. Take a sharp right up a ridge (still orange trail, I believe) and continue up a steep hill. The Orange Fork Boulder is located on top, and there are others in the area to explore.
