Description

There are a couple different sections along a single trail that curves to the back of the quarry. The main section of ice is all the way in the back, along the left side of the trail (heading in). There's some pretty good variation if it's in, which takes a lot of cold.

The rock is generally horrible and loose, and "not climbable" unless iced up, though there is some bouldering.

Getting There

From the East on Mountaindale Road in Smithfield, there's a small pullout on either side just before a small bridge and the reservoir. Follow the trail north from the road as it curves right (East) and into the main part of the quarry. Quick walk.
