Description

Probably the closest, most accessible ice in the GTA. Can be SUPER busy on weekends, as a lot of guiding companies take intro classes there (which in turn can lead to hacked out conditions). Great variety of routes from WI2 on climbers left, all the way to some sketchy mixed WI4/M4 stuff on climbers right.

Conditions are really hit and miss, due to proximity to urban areas. Some years it won't come in at all.

All in all, a great place for bouldering or a quick few hours on ice without a huge travel commitment.

Getting There

Take HWY 403 to Exit 64 (Mowhawk Rd), turn right onto Wilson, then again onto Montgomery. Look for the small pull in lot on the side of the road, then follow the well marked trail to the falls.
