Description
This is about a 20 yard long wall found just north of the main Lumahai beach. This is some of the highest quality bouldering found on the island. The wall continues about 50-60 feet high, with potential for easy routes.
The wall offers vertical to slightly overhanging climbing, with a few slabby areas. Expect dirty holds and loose rock given that the cliff line is only about 15 yards from the shoreline. I don't think the water ever reaches the base of the wall, but I can imagine that a big storm or two could wash out almost anything around the base.
You can bring something to wipe your shoes off, or scavenge for driftwood to do the same.
Given the fragile nature of the rock, be circumspect as you climb higher as there are many loose head-sized blocks. If you break a hold that is critical to the route, fess up, you anonymous bastards.
I have heard that you can't climb here in the winter months (high tide), though I have never attempted.
