Description Suggest change

A nice area to boulder in southern Illinois since it is almost always empty despite having awesome quality sandstone routes 8 to 20 feet high. Some boulder routes here are genuine southern Illinois classics! Leatherface v7 and Gravedigger v10 are five-star lines anywhere! The bluff is west facing above the mississippi river valley so expect morning shade and evening sun. 

Getting There Suggest change

3 miles north of HWY 149 off Route 3. If coming from the south head right onto Crain Rd and drive behind the church on your right. Be respectful and you may want to refrain from climbing when church is in service. Walk up to the bluffline and follow to the right. Have fun!

12/22/21 - advised by a deacon of the church that they no longer own the gravel road and landing behind the church, so we should not park there anymore. He asked that we start parking along the road by the shed, just before the parking lot, instead of in the parking lot itself.
