Upper Center Wall

Alaska > Anchorage & S C… > Purinton Creek

Description

In the Alaska Rock Climbing Guide this part of the wall is referred to as Right Wall yet Center makes things a bit less confusing. This part of the wall like much of the upper sections is defined by many overhanging sections of rock. There are some fun climbs in this section of the face that seem to get little attention and others that don’t deserve it. The views and exposure on this section of wall make it a great place for a warm afternoon.

Getting There

The right routes can be accessed by scrambling up the approach gully and walking a ledge in the middle of the cliff. The left side is best reached by climbing Qualifier to the anchor to gain the belay ledge.
